Hello, friends! Happy July 4th!! Or Independence Day. For your history reminder, 247 years ago on July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence. The document signed by the 13 American colonies severed their political connections to Great Britain. The Declaration summarized the colonists' motivations for seeking their own independence and a complete and final separation from Great Britain.
