The case against Biden has evaporated
Hey guys!
I wanted to expand on a partial point made this week by Simon Rosenberg, and add a lot of detail and additional meat to the bones, so to speak.
Rosenberg made the point this week that the case against Biden that Trump has been making has been demolished. And I think he’s right.
For more than a year, we’ve heard Biden is too old. And that his memory is terrible.
But the past two weeks have destroyed both of those cases.
First, there was the incredible State of the Union, which I’ve already written about.
If you want the short version of that post, it’s the following: Huge ratings, ton of money saved, and “Sleepy Joe Biden” was TOO MUCH for Republicans: Republicans complain Joe Biden had too much energy at State of the Union.
If you want the details on all of that, go read the link above.
But the memory argument got smashed this week on the day following me dropping that article above about the State of the Union.
The special counsel who had said the President was a "sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory" had to actually go in front of Congress under oath and discuss these things.
And let’s just say things didn’t go too well for Special Counsel Robert Hur.
To begin with, a transcript was released of the 5-hour interview with Biden, and it, well, destroyed everything that Hur had written.
Including that Hur actually said Biden had a photographic memory, because Biden corrected Hur several times during the interview when Hur was wrong.
Take a look at this:
What was done was beyond wrong, obviously, as is said so well below.
And a ton of very real damage was done.
But the good news is that there are now more than seven months to smash the foolishness of this argument about his memory.
And the American people already got the first taste of real evidence from the State of the Union that while Biden may walk with a hitch and may stutter sometimes, he can more than stand up to loud members of Congress. And he’s more than capable in his service as a chief executive, who’s passed loads of important, bi-partisan bills.
Biden will continue to run on the following, and you’ll start to see the polls change in the coming weeks and months, I predict.
Just breathe and be thankful we live in such a great country.
