Five political points from this week that you absolutely need to know.
Hey guys!
Hope everyone is doing well!
I thought today I’d just share a random assortment of political items of note, instead of drilling down into a longer piece.
First, let’s begin with a heavy dose of hypocrisy.
Because you can never let the two-tiered sense of outlook and lies lay at rest.
The one below is particularly rich. Four doses of straight hypocrisy on the exact same situation:
In other matters, the Joe Biden age thing keeps coming up.
Reminder: Biden is 80. Trump is 77.4
(Yet Biden is too old to be president but Trump isn’t? That math seems a little off.)
But I came across this and it’s the perfect reminder that it’s more than simply a single person or age that we’re talking about here.
Moving along, let’s knock down one of the additional false facts — and latest defense — of the “perfect” phone call from Trump to Georgia.
The “defense/lie:”
The facts:
Let’s talk about those Trump legal defense dollars…
On the one hand, it’s astounding how much he’s raising and that people continue to give so much.
On the other…
All of that money going to Trump for legal fees is draining the resources of Republican congressional and local candidates across the spectrum.
There is not an unlimited bucket of money for the Republican Party and its candidates to draw from. This entire subject came up on a recent Chris Hayes show, if you want to listen to it. (About the 25 min mark)
Bottom line: Trump’s fight is yet again kneecapping and destroying the Repulican Party.
(Ten years from now we’ll laugh about how a formerly pro-abortion, non-Bible reading, Hillary friend and political donor destroyed the Republican Party. A man who had changed party affiliations five times since 1987; a real man of principle, here.)
Finally, I’ll just call this one the I’m confused bullet point.
I went into this week believing former Republican Congressman Joe Walsh.
I was pretty solidly on that side of the aisle. That was literally my view.
But two astounding replies to his comment actually has me wondering if I’m not looking at this one wrong? (Let me know your thoughts in the comments on where you come down on this one.)
(If you have no idea what I’m talking about… See here: Constitutional debate over Trump’s eligibility to run more extensive than realized.)
Love and peace,
Stan R. Mitchell

P.S. Don’t forget to check out my books. I’ve written 12 of them: a CIA/Marine sniper series, a detective series, a private investigator series, an action-packed Western, a motivational self-help book about President Obama, and two realistic war novels: one about World War II and one about Afghanistan. You can find all of these books on Amazon.
